"We are about to have our second baby and wanted to switch to a split screen monitor so I could see my 2yo and infant at the same time without having to use a scanning feature. I loved our infant optics monitor that we got in 2023. After two solid years of use the only real issue we were having was that if we left the screen on for our daughters whole two hour nap, we would have to put the monitor on the charger about an hour into bedtime. We just installed our baby sense in both of the girls rooms and I’ve been using it for my 2yo for about a week. Here is a comparison of the 2: -obviously split screen on babysense -babysense displays bigger but requires you to hang the monitor higher to get the full crib than infant optics. -babysense camera turns more, can see the whole room if we wanted. but I find it unnecessary because we really only look at the crib with it. -infant optics felt sturdier. Better plastic, less fearful of dripping the monitor. Babysense feels very cheap in comparison. -Babysense screen is SO MUCH easier to see outside when it’s sunny. Infant optics you could basically just admit you won’t be looking at it at all unless you go in the shade. -sound quality on infant optics was SO MUCH better. Baby sense sound quality is choppy and a bit distorted. My daughter’s sound machine sounded perfectly the same on infant optics, now it sounds in and out like a humming noise. A bit industrial. Hard for me to sleep with it. But then even turned down if my daughter makes a noise it is quite loud, so maybe I just need to play around with sound settings. -adjusting brightness was a button on its own for infant optics, you have to go into settings on Babysense. The lowest brightness is a bit too high to leave on next to your head if you do that. I used to when my daughter was little. Everything else is fairly comparable and not worth mentioning good, or bad. It will do the trick. Honestly really impressed with it for how much we paid for it. Got it on a good sale for about $115. So can’t complain!"

- When you have more than 2 cameras how does split screen work? If the camera not set on split screen detects something does it automatically pop on to that camera
- In order to get the most out of your device, we recommend using SCAN and VOX mode in conjunction with one another. SCAN will cycle through all paired cameras in 10 second intervals, where VOX mode will allow the camera to enter rest mode when it does not detect a sound for 30 seconds and will transmit the video/sound when it hears a sound above the set level. Typically, this functions only on the last camera selected, but will work across all cameras when SCAN is selected.
- Can this connect to your phone so you can monitor baby when they are with the nanny?

- Is there a scan function to have the monitor automatically switching back and forth between the 2 cameras? I'm worried I'll miss someone crying at night if I have to manually switch between cameras.
- To ensure that you experience the highest quality audio and visual output and to ensure you never miss a thing you can place the monitor into SCAN Mode alone (monitor will automatically switch between cameras every 10-15 seconds) or you can place the monitor into SCAN and VOX Mode together, so that the monitor reactivates on whichever cameras generates sound. When using the VOX function, the sound and video transmission will stop (standby mode) if the Baby Unit does not register any sound within 30 seconds. While in standby mode, the LCD screen turns off. Once the Baby Unit registers a sound, louder than the set sensitivity level, it will automatically start transmitting the signal (sound and video) to the Parent Unit and the LCD screen will turn on.
- Are they remote viewable through an app?
- The HDS2 Monitor is a non-WiFi monitor and can only be viewed via the dedicated parent unit. It does not connect to an app.
- Do the cameras have a cord to plug-in or are they battery operated only? I saw a chart that compared it to another one of your products and this one was listed as battery only and the other was battery and cord operated. Is the parent unit the only part that is battery operated?
- Our parent units come with rechargable Li-Ion batteries, that once charged allow the unit to be used without being connected to an electrical outlet. The cameras neeed to be connected to electrical outlets at all times to operate.
